Requirements and Skills:
The Director of Sales is a new position in the company and will lead the development and implementation of the outbound (direct) sales function of the company, working alongside the existing inbound sales function within the Commercial department. In this role the Director of Sales reports to and will work under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who built the business and remains the driving energy behind the company’s new customer acquisition and sales success.
The Director of Sales will be responsible for setting and achieving sales targets, revenue performance in the funnel, and for customer retention, customer growth, and new customer acquisition. Working closely with the VP Commercial, this role will coordinate and align the sales function with the other revenue generation and customer management functions (Marketing and Commercial teams), and with fleet operations and aircraft management functions to deliver an effective end-to-end customer and buyer experience.
Based in our Hyderabad office, this role is part of the senior commercial team of the company and will be expected to work closely with other members of the senior leadership team, such as the Chief Strategy Officer on the business and product development strategy, marketing and the application of technology to the revenue management and customer experience functions. In addition, further collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer will ensure that sales success and contracts are delivered within the scope of all relevant policies and procedures, and market and commercial risks are carefully managed and mitigated.
Over time the Director of Sales will recruit and develop a team of sales managers and executives in the Hyderabad and Delhi offices focused on managing the outbound Sales activities, in line with the achievement of growth targets for product sales. Frequent travel will be required for meetings with prospects and customers across key customer locations in India and to manage the sales teams.
The Director of Sales will therefore play a central role in the achievement of the company’s sales and revenue targets, and will coordinate and motivate all relevant personnel and departments to achieve and exceed the revenue goals.
