JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description:

JetSetGo Aviation Services, with its associated subsidiaries, is a dynamic, forward-thinking aviation company with operating bases and a fleet of modern private jets across India. Responsibility:

Direct Sales Leadership

  • Lead the outbound (direct) sales function of the company to achieve sales goals and revenue targets established in the annual operating plan (AOP).
  • Identify sales opportunities in B2C and B2B market segments and devise strategies to win business from prospective and current customers in target segments.
  • Develop, grow and maintain a pipeline of leads to ensure a steady flow of prospects in the sales funnel, managing a seamless transition of Marketing Qualified Leads to Sales Qualified Leads.
  • Maximize conversion rates to achieve a high level of sales success in line with annual targets.
  • Maximize gross margin on sales to achieve sustainably profitable revenue streams from the company’s products and services.
  • Identify new business opportunities, engage and pitch to customer prospects to win high value contracts, achieving growth in Membership sales (subscriptions) and flight contracts.
  • Work closely with the CEO and CSO to implement sales campaigns for the company’s new flagship Fractional Ownership product targeting HNI frequent flyers with high levels of travel frequency and service need.
  • Maintain strong relationships with those high value customers, building the company’s share of business and developing advocacy and referrals to develop new sales prospects.
  • Represent the company at important industry and business events, and maintain a strong professional image in line with the company’s brand values.

Collaborations

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team in the implementation of the brand positioning strategy and provide customer data and intelligence to improve marketing campaign effectiveness.
  • Work with the Marketing team to develop effective sales collateral and presentation materials.
  • Collaborate with the New Product and Technology teams to provide market and customer insights in the development of new products and services, and represent ‘the voice of the customer’ in the process.
  • Collaborate closely with the operational functions of the business to ensure a successful customer experience and high satisfaction rates, ensuring regular customer feedback to help drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with the Chief Financial Officer to ensure all contract negotiations and conclusions are in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures on risk management.
  • Collaborate closely with the Accounts department to ensure all completed sales are billed and any queries or disputes are settled in a timely and professional manner.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, manage, motivate and train members of the Sales teams in key company locations to ensure the company has effective sales resources to achieve its revenue targets.
  • Set targets for the Sales team and monitor performance of each team member providing leadership, support, coaching and training to assist each team member to close sales and achieve their targets.

 

Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven track record in achieving consistent sales success within high-value products and services targeted at the High Net Worth (HNI) customer segment.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a sales leadership position with a proven ability to manage, lead and motivate successful sales teams, and drive revenue growth. 
  • Experience in private aviation, or the luxury goods and services (such as premium cars, high-end property or hospitality services), or HNI financial (wealth management) services sectors is strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods, and excellent negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field and a Master's degree would be advantageous.
  • An ability to master complex and technical details, and make them accessible and easy to understand in interactions with prospects and customers.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • A high standard of numeracy and creative thinking using numbers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Role:

The Director of Sales is a new position in the company and will lead the development and implementation of the outbound (direct) sales function of the company, working alongside the existing inbound sales function within the Commercial department. In this role the Director of Sales reports to and will work under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who built the business and remains the driving energy behind the company’s new customer acquisition and sales success.

The Director of Sales will be responsible for setting and achieving sales targets, revenue performance in the funnel, and for customer retention, customer growth, and new customer acquisition. Working closely with the VP Commercial, this role will coordinate and align the sales function with the other revenue generation and customer management functions (Marketing and Commercial teams), and with fleet operations and aircraft management functions to deliver an effective end-to-end customer and buyer experience.

Based in our Hyderabad office, this role is part of the senior commercial team of the company and will be expected to work closely with other members of the senior leadership team, such as the Chief Strategy Officer on the business and product development strategy, marketing and the application of technology to the revenue management and customer experience functions. In addition, further collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer will ensure that sales success and contracts are delivered within the scope of all relevant policies and procedures, and market and commercial risks are carefully managed and mitigated.

Over time the Director of Sales will recruit and develop a team of sales managers and executives in the Hyderabad and Delhi offices focused on managing the outbound Sales activities, in line with the achievement of growth targets for product sales. Frequent travel will be required for meetings with prospects and customers across key customer locations in India and to manage the sales teams. 

The Director of Sales will therefore play a central role in the achievement of the company’s sales and revenue targets, and will coordinate and motivate all relevant personnel and departments to achieve and exceed the revenue goals.
